Litter Genie Plastic Bags keep tearing open

I have had numerous bags rip open and all my cat waste smells up my house. This product is poorly made and the bags tear open easy, when my litter genie is not even half full.

User's recommendation: Don't buy this product - Better off using a plastic free bag from the store.

Has anything been done to unit opening when picked up? The push button doesn't hold unit shut!

Picked up o move unit. Without warning it opened and dumped the bag out! The plastic push button doesn't hold!

Defective bags and short-run

I have three cats and have been using this product for more than 3 years. Several times, I've had issues with the bags being defective. They often come out "quadrupled" and then the entire run is very short, only lasting 2 weeks. I wrote to the company and they did send me some discount coupons on one occasion. However, this has happened to me on multiple purchases and I received NO RESPONSE from the company when trying to contact them a second, third, and fourth time. The bags are expensive, and do work. However, it is false advertising to state how long the run of the bag is when it is oftentimes shorter runs and apparently defective. I feel ripped-off.
